THE PLAN. [coding and skin]

Hi everyone.

So here's what I want to do within the next week with remodeling the site:

1. make a beige/tanish logo with pops of color in it so i can use those colors for borders and links and all that good stuffs. [i'm thinking teal and maybe burt orange].

2. border around the forum. i love this code, and this will be my first time actually using it. :D and i'm hoping i can get two different background images. one for the main bg and one for the inner table bg.

3. INFO TABLES.... there's a tabbed information table code out there somewhere that people have started using, and i'd like to put things like the cbox, the word count, general news, credits, and in-character information [season, OTM's, herd stats] in there. anything left over will go in the side tables, which i would prefer to only be on one side. like... the staff roster and welcome message will go in the left side tables. and then like... affiliates can be in a more secure and organized area over there.

4. THE LOGO.... there's gonna be a horse getting up in the middle of either an open desert-like field or in a dark forest. there might be another horse farther up ahead of him, maybe a fallen angel, cuz i think i could attempt wings. the horse getting up will have some kind of elemental power, most likely wind because it's the easiest to do and i have good brushes for it. :D i've been looking for stock for like WEEKS and i think i finally found what i want to use.

5. MAIN PAGE REMODELING..... i really like how the categories are done on Dominion and on Born of Night [both wolf rps]. I also like how Degree does their boards, so I'm going to continue looking for those codes and I'll let everyone know what I find.

THE PROBLEM.....

1. i only get 2 hours on my comp per day. i could get all of this done in maybe 8 hours, so you do the math. :\

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP....

1. keep the site active during this transition period. get some fun plots going and for once don't worry about how many words you're posting. every post doesn't have to be a work of art for a story to take place and for you to have fun with it. :\

And Blue hasn't replied to the email I sent her, so I get the impression she hasn't been able to get on the computer much lately. She's usually quite good at responding -nodnods- So while it's not good that she's disappeared, I don't think she's being inactive because she forgot about the site. I know she was really excited about our plots for Overis x Aria and Candle x Overis.


OH. I know the tabbed info table code you're talking about. I like it, but I wouldn't want the cbox in there... that's too hidden away, in my opinion. If you need a link, I can find it for you x]

and yeah i wasn't planning on putting the cbox in there i don't think. :\ i change my mind about this crap like every day. xD i think the cbox will be higher up on the forum in its own box maybe.

nooooo not in the side tables. the tabbed thing would replace the vast majority of the side tables, but it would be in the middle above all the boards under the logo.

the big problem i'm having is that i can't get much done graphics-wise on my laptop because i don't have enough time to get it done in one day.

i kind of have the logo started now, finally, but i keep getting pissed off when the stock horses i have don't look the way i want them to. =,,= so hopefully that will be resolved soon.

i got a lot of work done today.

the new skin and logo will be put up tomorrow along with new title images for the tabbed table and the side tables.

the width issue with the tabbed table will be fixed at that point.
