I HATE my laptop. It is always turning itself OFF, and I was in the middle of making Train, a new charrie, and was about to press the button to post it, when it TURNED OFF! Pff. I hate this. Whats wrong with my laptop? Does it need a new battery? -ticked off-

What browser do you use? I know Firefox sometimes saves my tabs and, if I haven't pressed preview, the messages I was writing in them. It isn't a fix, but it might be helpful.
Or type things into Word. You can turn on autosave and if it crashes, your document should be recovered next time you start the program.
It might be the battery, or it could be the power cord or your CPU overheating or any number of things =/ I'd say get someone to check it out, but that can be expensive and you'd be without the laptop for as long as they decided to take with it.
What type of laptop is it?

@ Mutt: Wooops. I was previewing my message when I was writing the bio for Train. My browser is Mozilla Firefox, and my laptop is hp pavilion. I love you but I hate you at the same time, my dear laptop. xD
@ Blue: I did that for the god tryout, thank goodness. xD autosave? o.o
Oh, and my laptop does heat up sometimes (quite often, actually)

I personally don't do the word thing unless my laptop's being an arse to me but it sounds like you have a battery problem. My aunt had a laptop that would do that, mostly because their cord was fricked up the wall and all that, and couldn't charge. Uhm, if it keeps shutting off on you maybe try word cause yes it does autosave if it crashes as far as i know of. Or you could try doing the biography by hand.. I know that'd be a pain in the ass but if you were to upload a scanning of the bio i'd still accept it.

Ah. Okay, thanks. So a new battery would or wouldn't fix it?

One thing you could do to prevent over-heating is set your laptop up by a fan, which would slow down the damage to the battery. This link might help if you haven't figured it out already :B ;;
